There is a Poundland right near my house that stocks the best things. I go in every now and then to check out the cosmetics aisle and I always leave with at least one product. I love a good bargain and it's amazing when you can find things that still sell for £7 in Boots or Superdrug.
Rimmel Waterproof Gel Liner - 004 Blue. This still sells for £6.99 in Superdrug. This little gel pot comes with a handy little applicator. The gel liner is very smooth and creamy so it does apply easily however it does not last throughout the day, it ends up on your eyelid crease and it is not waterproof.
Rimmel Gel Liner - 003 Aubergine. The packaging of this gel liner is a lot better it does still have a little applicator however this one comes attached to the top of the bottle which is great if you're travelling. This is the exact same product as before, it's a great gel liner, the colors are great but again it does smudge. Still great for £1 though.
Rimmel Apocalips. If you know me then you'll know that I own every single shade of Apocalips and I spent about £6.49 on each one so I'm slightly annoyed they have these in Poundland but still excited. I love the Apocalips range, every shade is extremely pigmented, they don't dry out at all. Your lips stay shiny and lacquered all day long however they can be slightly messy but as long as you keep a pocket mirror on you for check ups you'll be fine. I always manage to get a little bit on my chin through out the day but that might just be due to my massive bottom lip!
Maybelline Baby Lips. These lip balms are usually around £2.99 in most stores. The pink/yellow is Mango Pie and the pink/green is Smoothing Cherry. I love both of these lip balms, they smell amazing, I wouldn't say they smell like mango or cherry but definitely fruity. They're very smooth and not sticky in the slightest and they don't leave any residue on your lips.
These eyelash curlers as far as I'm concerned as the exact same as the pair from Eyeko. They look the same. they have the same handles, they feel the same and they do the exact same thing. I own the Eyeko pair as well and honestly I wish I hadn't wasted the money on them. This pair obviously are just £1 and they definitely don't rip out or stick to any lashes.
This little Nail Varnish Remover pot is such a great dupe for Bourjois - Magic Nail Polish Remover. This product is a little pot that has a sponge inside, you put your finger in, twist it and when you pull your finger out your nail varnish has completely wiped off. The only differences are this one smells like regular nail varnish remover and the Bourjois one smells like almonds. The last difference of course is the cost, Bourjois costs £4.99 whereas this one is £1.
L'Oreal Infallible Eyeshadow. Each individual shadow still sells for £6.99 which is a bit crazy for a drugstore shadow so I've steered clear of them until I saw them in Poundland. This swatch is without any primer, a little bit of this product goes a long way and the pigmentation in the colors is amazing. The shadows are very easy to blend or to build up color, they are slightly shimmery and there is minimal fall out.
The last little find is this Revlon Nail Polish in the shade Timeless, this is a beautiful grey color. This requires two coats and the consistency of the product isn't too thick or too thin, it's a nice in between. It takes a lot to chip or crack this polish and this color goes great with a lot of different outfits and make up looks.
Let me know if any of you find anything good in pound shops near you!
Thank you so much for reading!
